    Fast cars are half the fun in FH6, but raw speed only gets you so far. The quickest-looking build can feel awful once the road starts bending. I’ve had plenty of runs where a car posted a huge number on the motorway, then lost a full corner to something slower but easier to place. That’s why I’d start by browsing FH6 Cars with your actual race goal in mind, not just the biggest power figure. Highway pulls, road circuits, and mixed events all reward different choices.

    Read the Car Before Changing It

    Take the stock car out first. No parts, no tuning tricks, just a clean run on a familiar stretch of road. Watch how it launches, how quickly it reaches high speed, and whether the rear feels loose when you lift off. A light car with modest power may already have the right bones for a strong road setup. A heavy machine might need far more work before it feels lively.

    Pay attention to what happens between corners, too. Does the car slow down cleanly? Can you get back on the throttle early? Those details matter more than a flashy top-speed number. For a motorway build, high power and low drag are useful. For circuit racing, predictable braking and fast corner exits usually win more time. If the car needs constant correction, adding more power won’t fix the basic problem.

    Power, Gears, and Grip That Work Together

    Upgrade the intake, fuel system, ignition, exhaust, and internal engine parts in stages. Test after each group of changes. A turbo can add serious high-speed pull, while a supercharger often feels sharper straight away. Neither choice is automatically better. Pick the one that suits the engine and the way you drive. More power also means more wheelspin, especially in lower gears, so don’t ignore the tyres.

    Gear ratios decide whether that power feels useful. Set the final gear long enough for the car to reach its target speed without sitting on the limiter. If acceleration from 100 to 200 mph feels flat, shorten the middle gears a little. Then test again. Wider tyres, a sensible ride height, and mild suspension stiffness can keep the car settled. Too much stiffness, though, makes bumps launch the car wide. Aero needs the same restraint. Add enough support to calm the rear, but don’t load the car down until it loses its legs.

    The fastest FH6 car for you may not be the one with the highest rating. It’s the one you can place accurately, launch cleanly, and trust when the road gets messy. Start with tyres and gearing, add power in measured steps, then tune the suspension around real driving feedback.
